Job summary

A leading staffing and consulting firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support mission-critical power distribution for federal facilities. You will design and develop complex electrical systems, prepare engineering documents, and ensure compliance with federal standards. The ideal candidate has at least six years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and must be eligible for a Secret level DOD clearance. Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates.

Job description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to play a critical role in sustaining and optimizing the facility’s complex electrical systems for a large government construction client! This position supports mission-critical power distribution, system reliability, infrastructure upgrades, and compliance with federal standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical power distribution systems for federal facilities including substations, switchgear, transformers, panels, and distribution networks.
• Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and design documents for new construction and renovation projects.
• Produce and review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and equipment layouts using engineering design software.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes including NEC, UFC, NFPA, and other applicable standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum of six (6) years of combined experience in electrical design and construction

Additional Requirements

• Must provide at least three (3) examples of projects of similar scale and complexity where the candidate held a comparable role.

Compensation:

$120k to $135k per year annual salary.
