Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the FAA NISC program in Des Plaines, IL to support the Federal Aviation Administration's facilities and systems. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience (or a Master's with 2+ years), arc flash experience, AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or power-related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or master's with 2+ years.
• Experience in arc flash studies.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and documentation systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Public Trust Security Clearance eligibility: US citizen or permanent resident with 3 years in the USA.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design electrical systems for FAA buildings and structures.
• Perform on-site surveys to develop to-scale designs and detailed reports.
• Generate sketches and wiring diagrams with exact specifications.
• Test and analyze power systems and participate in inspections.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team for site-specific modifications and new construction.
• Prepare construction drawings, site specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support ORM requirements and risk management activities.
• Participate in pre-construction and on-site meetings with stakeholders.
