Job summary

Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking an intermediate-level Electrical Engineer to design, develop, fabricate, assemble, test, and deploy a broad range of electronic systems for SRNL, SRS, and national security missions. You will work in the Asymmetric Technologies' Cyber Physical Systems team at SRNL in Aiken, SC.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of experience in circuit design, microcontrollers (STM32/ARM Cortex), and programming (C/C++/assembly).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering with 4-6 years of relevant experience
• US Citizenship required for ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Circuit design and simulation experience
• Microcontroller experience; STM32/ARM Cortex preferred
• Programming experience in C, C++, or assembly
• Advanced degree and PCB design experience preferred (Altium or KiCad)

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, fabrication, assembly, testing, and deployment of a wide range of electronic systems
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, researchers, and partners to deliver high-quality work
• Deliver results in a safe, secure, timely, and cost-effective manner
• Scope, plan, organize, communicate, estimate, schedule, and perform technical tasks
• Provide direction and support to less senior professionals
• Occasional travel ~10–15% and remote field work when required
