Job summary

DoorDash Air invites an experienced electrical engineer to own critical subsystems of aircrafts and ground systems. You will see designs deployed in the field and air within a year, reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer in the DoorDash Air team at DoorDash Labs.

You will design mechatronics systems, partner across firmware, systems, mechanical, and manufacturing to deliver robust, scalable electronics for aerial and ground platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing electronics circuits in cross-functional environments.
• Design and bring-up of a board with a micro-controller and interfaces such as analog, SPI, CAN or ethernet.
• Ability to own and prototype the electrical design of a small robotic system.
• Strong debugging of complex systems including signal integrity and EMI.

Responsibilities

• Own critical subsystems of aircrafts and ground systems.
• Design mechatronics systems from a blank sheet and lead electrical design.
• Collaborate closely with firmware, systems, mechanical, supply chain, and reliability teams.
