Lea County Electric Cooperative is seeking an Electrical Engineer to analyze the distribution system and drive a four-year maintenance and construction plan. The role involves team collaboration on load flow, short-circuit scenarios, and relaying schemes, plus development of voltage and coordination studies to optimize reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
• Proficiency with office tools and databases is expected.
• Strong math skills: trig, calculus, algebra, analytic geometry.
• Knowledge of Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories products or similar equipment preferred.
• Must have a valid New Mexico driver's license.
• Familiarity with NERC, RUS; SPP experience is a bonus.
• Excellent problem-solving, time management and communication skills.
