Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Designer to support electrical design across healthcare projects nationwide. Based on-site in Boise, you will produce plans, sections, and details under the direction of a Project Engineer, covering power distribution, lighting, life-safety and emergency power systems.

This role is open to licensed Professionals Engineers or non-licensed designers with 5–10 years of experience; PE licensure is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• 5 to 10 years of job-related electrical design experience including power distribution, lighting and life safety design.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Strong analytical and mathematical problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems design fundamentals, including power circuiting, lighting, and load calculations.

Responsibilities

• Draft electrical plans, sections, and details under the direction of a Project Engineer across Healthcare/Commercial projects.
• Develop one-line diagrams and analyses including arc-fault, short circuit, and arc flash.
• Apply understanding of emergency power systems and life-safety codes in design.
• Perform branch circuit design and calculations for distribution and lighting systems.
• Participate in client meetings to translate requirements into design details and construction documents.
• Collaborate with senior team members and other disciplines to deliver coordinated outcomes.
• Grow technical design skills and knowledge of healthcare systems.
