Job summary

Kratos Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support design and manufacture of UL891 switchboards, metal-clad MV switchgear, and control packages. The role emphasizes hands-on electrical design, production support, and rigorous documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in electrical equipment, power distribution, controls, or manufacturing.
• Experience in manufacturing or engineered-to-order environments.
• Working knowledge of electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and support engineering work related to UL891 switchboards and metal-clad medium-voltage switchgear.
• Prepare and maintain electrical designs, schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, BOMs, and production documentation.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are accurate, complete, and released on time to support production schedules.
• Maintain accurate Bills of Materials to support ERP coordination and project execution.
• Maintain engineering drawings and project closeout documentation.
• Provide technical problem-solving support to multiple teams including production, purchasing, quality, and sales.
• Coordinate with production to resolve manufacturing questions, drawing issues, and design conflicts.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering standards and workflows.
