Salary Range - $125,000.00 - $140,000.00

Hours - 7:30 - 4:30 M - F

Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for integrated project execution within engineering. Formally leads Project Engineering, driving execution and integration of engineering work from project intake through release. Ensure priority and quality alignment across Project Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering to deliver accurate, consumable, and on‑time outputs that support predictable manufacturing flow.

Works closely with the Director of Engineering to support execution within the engineering organization and provide day‑to‑day leadership continuity when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Project Engineering team, setting clear expectations for ownership, pace, and accountability
  • Decide project priorities across engineering functions to ensure schedule adherence and engineering standards are met
  • Establish and reinforce consistent practices for managing engineering deliverables across all internal engineering groups
  • Drive day‑to‑day execution from project intake through release
  • Maintain clear visibility to schedules and ensure commitments are met
  • Identify risks early and take action to keep projects on track, escalating as necessary to resolve gaps
  • Drive alignment across Project Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering to ensure coordinated execution
  • Ensure consistent use of systems and tools to maintain visibility, tracking, and accountability throughout project cycles
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering deliverables and performance
  • Lead problem solving and resolution on active projects
  • Work with peers across the organization to ensure smooth transition of engineering deliverables to operations
Success Measures
  • On‑time engineering release performance with strict adherence to milestone schedules across projects
  • Cohesive engineering outputs that limit downstream rework and engineering errors
  • Reduced time‑to‑market solutions maintaining high levels of manufacturability
Ideal Profile
  • Experience managing a multi‑discipline engineering team, driving execution in a project‑based/high‑mix, fast‑paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to drive accountability and follow‑through within a team
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with urgency and discipline
  • Practical understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering workflows
  • Clear communicator who can work effectively with peers in other departments
  • Prior experience in LV and MV switchboard/switchgear design
What This Role Is Not
  • Does not set engineering strategy or long‑term direction
  • Does not replace technical leadership within Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Not responsible for broader cross‑functional integration outside of Engineering except for integration of engineering outputs with downstream teams
  • Not a passive coordinator—this role actively drives execution and outcomes
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • 10 years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Experience managing managers, not just individual contributors
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly person to person, coach direct and indirect employees, and collaborate at all levels
  • Firm knowledge of UL 891 and familiarity with other UL Standards as well as applicable medium voltage standards as deployed by Kratos
  • ERP experience and knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail both at a macro and micro level; ability to see the big picture
  • Logical approach to problem‑solving with the fortitude to work a challenge through resolution
  • 5+ years of Engineering experience or equivalent experience
