Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for an Electrical Engineer at its Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering; Master’s degree meets experience requirements.
  • Experience developing detailed test plans and procedures for hardware.
  • Experience in schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection.
  • Familiarity with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, generators, and power supplies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; clear technical documents.
  • Must hold or obtain U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for an Electrical Engineer at its Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. This engineering position is for an electrical engineering role in our systems and design engineering group. This opportunity provides a chance to have direct impact on the product and mission, moving quickly through design decisions, rapid prototyping, integration, testing, and product demonstration. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily.

Responsibilities
  • Design, prototype, and test Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and other electronic assemblies using cutting-edge technologies to advance weapon system capability.
  • Perform schematic capture, layout, and BOM generation using industry-standard tools (Altium, Mentor, Cadence).
  • Work closely with embedded-software/firmware teams to define electrical interfaces, timing, and data-link protocols.
  • Capture, maintain and update system and subsystem-level requirements.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct relevant experience with B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering from an ABET accredited school; 0 years experience with Master’s degree.
  • Experience developing detailed test plans and procedures to evaluate hardware.
  • Experience in schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection.
  • Experience with understanding complex schematics and components.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, function generators, and power supplies.
  • Strong written and verbal skills; able to produce clear technical documents.
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing and integrating test equipment, including CCAs, cables, electrical harnesses and automated test station software.
  • Experience with legacy system sustainment and modernization, including hardware redesign due to obsolescence.
  • Experience with Department of Defense programs.
  • Expertise with Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, or Cadence Allegro.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
