Job summary

Fisica, Inc. in Simi Valley, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will design, analyze, layout PCBs, debug hardware, and test our Ground Based Stations and Battery Management Systems for aerospace programs, with minimal oversight.

Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and supply chain; ensure RoHS/ITAR compliance; manage BOMs; and support ECOs. Must have 4+ years of experience and a U.S. citizenship. In-office work required; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline with 4+ years in a relevant role
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, passive/active/electromechanical
• Experience with Altium/Cadence/MentorGraphics; Altium preferred; AutoCAD preferred
• Costpoint ERP experience preferred; familiarity with BOM and parts management
• Awareness of aerospace/defense standards and ITAR/RoHS compliance
• Ability to obtain/maintain US security clearance; US citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select electrical components based on specifications
• PCB schematic design, layout and troubleshooting
• Cable harness design responsibilities
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and supply chain teams
• Provide power/signal integrity analysis; work with FPGA team on floor planning
• Develop BOMs and part lists for accuracy and compliance
• Interface with vendors for sourcing and obsolescence data
• Support ECOs and related documentation updates
