Job summary

Converge Resources seeks an Electrical Engineer to support industrial facilities in the Tulsa region, focusing on controls, instrumentation, and power systems within oil & gas operations.

You will define requirements, review proposals, design electrical infrastructure, and oversee projects from conception to commissioning, ensuring safety and reliability in a demanding energy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• 3+ years of engineering, plant, or project experience.
• Knowledge of industrial power-system design and protective-relaying practices.
• Experience specifying or troubleshooting motors, VFDs, and motor relays.
• Ability to perform short-circuit, coordination, arc-flash, load-flow studies.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and API requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define technical requirements and select electrical equipment for facilities and projects.
• Review vendor proposals to support purchasing decisions.
• Design and assess plant electrical infrastructure including distribution and safety systems.
• Perform studies: short-circuit, arc-flash, relay coordination, load-flow.
• Provide engineering guidance through calculations and reports.
• Oversee field activities, scheduling, and budgeting coordination.
• Ensure designs meet safety, environmental, and process-safety standards.
