Job summary

CSEngineering in Colorado Springs is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support planning, design, construction, and sustainment of electrical systems for a DoD installation. The role requires broad electrical engineering expertise and experience supporting construction and project execution.

You will plan, design, review calculations, perform field surveys, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to budgeting and long-range infrastructure planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least five (5) years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Experience supporting electrical facility, infrastructure, utility, construction, renovation, or real-property projects.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction standards, project documentation, cost estimating, contracting processes, and site inspections.
• Familiarity with architectural, mechanical, and structural disciplines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and support execution of electrical new-construction, renovation, improvement, facility, and utility projects.
• Develop and review electrical calculations, estimates, schedules, drawings, specifications, and statements of work.
• Conduct field surveys, site investigations, design reviews, construction inspections, and technical assessments.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs, construction schedules, payment requests, and proposed changes for technical compliance.
• Support construction surveillance to help ensure contractor work meets project specifications, codes, safety requirements, and schedule commitments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, architects, planners, contracting personnel, tenants, and external stakeholders.
• Support project programming, budgeting, cost and schedule tracking, facility-condition assessments, and long-range infrastructure planning.
