Job summary

Bayer is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-Op to support electrical engineering project work across manufacturing sites by preparing specifications, developing design drawings, reviewing vendor packages, and assisting with construction, checkout, and startup activities.

You will collaborate closely with electrical designers, engineers, vendors, and construction teams to help deliver safe, compliant, and reliable power distribution, instrumentation, and process-control solutions that enable

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Sophomore standing at start of Co-Op.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project electrical specifications and summaries for front-end design packages.
• Develop project drawings with the electrical designer for layouts, schematics, and installation details.
• Review electrical and control vendor drawings for alignment with project requirements.
• Support construction activities and coordination with contractors and site teams.
• Contribute to electrical instrumentation development and estimates for new projects.
• Assist in developing electrical device specifications and component selection.
• Assist in developing site power distribution and process control system design.
• Support project checkout and startup activities at manufacturing sites.
