Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op in Missouri to contribute to large-scale capital projects. You will prepare specifications, review vendor drawings, and support startup at manufacturing sites while collaborating with engineers and project teams.

The role requires pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, with at least 1 year completed and a GPA around 3.0 preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills are valued in a diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Must have completed at least 1 year of a Bachelor's program.
• Preferred: GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project mechanical specifications and summaries for design packages.
• Review equipment vendor drawings and support construction activities at manufacturing sites.
• Support engineers in development of mechanical equipment specifications and drawings.
• Contribute to equipment checkout plans and startup at manufacturing sites.
• Apply basic project management to coordinate tasks and timelines.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and project team members to solve problems.
