Job summary
Vertiv is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Minnesota to contribute to the release of best-in-class Chiller and CW Systems products. You will work in a cross-functional development group, manage tasks, and solve complex problems with limited precedence.
You will support manufacturing, analyze issues, report findings to the electrical engineering team, and help implement solutions while collaborating with various engineering disciplines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years in new product development as an individual contributor.
- Familiar with HVAC/industrial design concepts.
Responsibilities
- Design next generation Chiller and cooling products for air and liquid systems.
- Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, process, production and offering teams.
- Perform engineering calculations to verify design requirements.
- Develop solutions for novel problems with ingenuity.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement changes.
- Support manufacturing with prototypes, tests and cost reduction activities.
- Create and revise wiring schematics, network drawings and panel layouts.
- Work with software team to verify product controls.
