Job summary
Emery Oleochemicals is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support capital projects, plant reliability, and electrical/instrumentation systems across our manufacturing operations. This role partners with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to ensure safe, compliant electrical infrastructure in a chemical processing environment.
The position is based in Cincinnati and requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 2–5 years of industrial experience and strong NEC knowledge to
Qualifications
- NEC knowledge and code compliance in electrical design and projects.
- Experience applying electrical design principles in industrial settings.
- Ability to perform electrical calculations for system design and equipment selection.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for instrumentation and electrical issues.
- Awareness of process safety and management of change processes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate electrical scope during construction, commissioning, and project handover.
- Develop and review electrical designs (SLDs, grounding plans, motor control schematics) per NEC.
- Perform electrical calculations to support system design and equipment selection.
- Generate and review loop drawings, instrument plans, and specification sheets.
- Support maintenance with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electrical/instrumentation issues.
