Job summary

Stantec's Buildings team is seeking an Engineer to perform basic technical and project management duties under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager. You will understand and identify project requirements and perform independent technical work within your discipline, providing guidance to Designers on completing duties.

You will develop basic system designs, prepare project deliverables with senior engineers, and follow the quality management process to ensure QA checks

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years related industry experience.
• FE/EIT or other professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops basic system designs within own discipline under minimal supervision; this includes the ability to offer solutions to general technical problems.
• Works with the senior project engineer to prepare project deliverables per the client’s scope and Stantec's proposal.
• Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews project deliverables prior to submission to QA/AC reviewer.
• Actively participates in the engineering/Professional community to build knowledge and growth (e.g. meetings, seminars).
• Performs duties to assist the project manager: provides input to meet timelines and budgets, coordinating with other disciplines.
