Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer to strengthen our energy practice, focusing on solar PV and BESS systems for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects across the United States. The role supports a hybrid work model with opportunities to work remotely or from multiple Energy offices.

Qualified candidates will have a power engineering background, experience in renewable energy design, and a strong drive to deliver quality projects for diverse clients in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related field and 4+ years of experience.
• Experience in design and integration of utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering design work on assigned projects under guidance.
• Develop design schedules and budgets with Project Engineer and Project Manager.
• Design Solar PV and BESS systems including layouts and interconnections.
• Model energy production for PV and BESS.
• Develop construction and equipment specifications.
• Perform NEC calculations and voltage/power distribution design.
• Support construction drawing development and commissioning.
• Assist in project life cycle from feasibility to start-up.
