Job summary

AECOM has an Electrical Engineer position focused on renewable projects across the country for the US Energy Practice. The role offers remote work flexibility and/or location at Energy offices across the United States, with duties spanning PV and BESS system design, energy modelling, NEC/standards, and construction support.

Qualified candidates bring a power engineering background, a PE license (preferred), and 8+ years in renewable design. Travel may be required; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in renewable energy design.
• Licensed PE (preferred).
• Proficient with power system modeling and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Electrical engineering design on assigned projects under guidance of senior staff.
• Develop design schedules and budgets with Project Engineer/Manager.
• PV and BESS system design and interconnections.
• Energy production modelling for PV/BESS.
• Prepare construction specifications and cost estimates.
• Support full project lifecycle from feasibility to commissioning.
• Present at meetings, travel as needed.
