Job summary

Apera is hiring an Electrical Engineer to support avionics hardware design and validation for aircraft and ground systems. You will design PCBs, assist schematic capture, and perform bench tests with cross-functional teams.

Requirements: Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 1–3 years of hands-on experience; knowledge of Altium, SPICE, CAN/Ethernet/SPI/I2C, and lab equipment. Onsite in South San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience, including internships or hands-on projects.
• Understanding of analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics.
• Experience with PCB design, board bring-up, or hardware debugging.
• Familiarity with Altium, SPICE, and lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical design and development of PCBAs, including sensing, power, control, and communications circuits.
• Assist with schematic capture, component selection, board bring-up, and hardware integration.
• Perform bench testing, troubleshooting, and design validation.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to resolve hardware issues.
• Support documentation, prototype builds, and production readiness.
