Job summary
Silgan Containers Manufacturing Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing operations by developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated production equipment and industrial control systems.
You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment performance, product quality, safety, and production efficiency, with travel to facilities and vendors as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; experience may substitute for degree.
- 3+ years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of PLC-based controls programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical controls, servos and drives.
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Mentor, train, and assist plant electricians and line mechanics to rapidly debug equipment.
- Develop and debug new production equipment and manufacturing lines.
- Assist plants and OEMs to identify mechanical production problems and improve lines.
- Interface with Plant Management and Engineering groups to complete tasks.
- Travel regularly to production facilities and equipment vendors.
