Job summary

Pyka is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our experienced team. You will lead system-level and component-level design and testing across autonomous aircraft hardware, including FPGA, microprocessors, power electronics, and sensor interfaces.

You will own the full PCBA design cycle from architecture to layout, work with Manufacturing, and collaborate with Mechanical, Software, and Flight Testing teams on aircraft integration and validation. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and testing microprocessor-based circuitry.
• FPGA knowledge (low to medium speed) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex electrical subsystems including FPGA, microprocessors, power and sensor integrations.
• Complete PCBA design cycle from architecture to PCB layout and manufacturing liaison.
• Test and validate subsystems to meet performance and reliability goals.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Software, and Flight Testing teams on aircraft integration.
• Create and maintain design and testing documentation.
