  • Design systems compliant with Lam and industry standards (SEMI, NFPA‑79, etc.).
  • Apply mathematical/engineering methods to electrical system designs.
  • Contribute to research and development efforts by collecting and analyzing data to improve electrical system designs.
  • Develop functional specifications for electrical/electro‑mechanical systems and power distribution components.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering design teams to design and modify custom and OEM system components.
  • Perform hands‑on test and validation utilizing lab equipment to characterize the performance of the electrical/electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Prepare high‑quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, analysis, and results to diverse audiences in design reviews.
  • Network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
  • Manage projects to schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Work within Lam systems for product lifecycle management: part creation, detailed documentation, release, and review processes.
  • Provide escalation support and supplier support as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent work experience.
  • Hands‑on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), signal and controls theory, development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation.
  • Solid understanding of AC/DC power distribution systems.
  • System‑level understanding of electrical architecture, system integration, and applications.
  • Working knowledge in printed circuit board (PCB) and low‑voltage circuit design for power and control applications.
  • Knowledgeable in CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (e.g., PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, AutoCAD, Spice).
  • Strong communicator: oral, written, and presentation skills in English.
  • Experience with the design and manufacturing of cabling and harnesses.
  • Experience in troubleshooting with problem‑solving techniques such as 5‑why, 8D, and fishbones.
  • Experience in the application of power and controls technologies for system automation.
  • Working knowledge of applicable electrical related standards such as UL, CE, IEC, SEMI.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A good working understanding of panel/display technology.
  • Experience with architecture, circuit, and control at the pixel level.
  • Experience with the manufacturing and fabrication process at the device level.
  • Calibration algorithms and methodologies.
  • Experience in power distribution and/or control system design of industrial manufacturing tools.
  • Previous experience in the design of semiconductor manufacturing tools.
  • Ability to define functional requirements and execute in a dynamic team environment.
  • Familiarity with design for serviceability, manufacturability, and reliability.
  • High proficiency at troubleshooting systems with tools such as network sniffers, protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and tool logs.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry or related sectors (industrial, automotive, military).
  • Practical experience with sensors, actuators, field busses (e.g., Ethernet, Serial, EtherCAT), measurement and controls technology.
