Job summary

BD is seeking an Electrical Engineer 3 to design, develop and test electrical systems for medical device products. You will contribute across the product lifecycle from concept through production, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality processes.

The role requires 7–10 years of electrical design experience, strong PCB/schematic skills (Altium, OrCAD, Eagle), and familiarity with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in electrical design and development.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle).
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles, power electronics, and embedded systems.
• Experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and various communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, USB).
• Troubleshooting complex electrical systems with standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
• Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards (IEC 60601, ISO 13485) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electrical circuits and systems for medical devices, including embedded systems, power management, sensor interfaces, and communication protocols.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB layout design, and component selection with manufacturability and cost in mind.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of electrical designs and resolve issues efficiently.
• Develop and execute test plans, analyze data, and generate test reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product integration.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 60601, ISO 13485 and internal quality systems.
• Support manufacturing transfer activities and prototype builds.
