Job summary

Apera is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join one of our clients' engineering teams, supporting the development, maintenance and improvement of aerospace and defense electronic products.

The electrical engineer will support production troubleshooting activities and perform lifecycle management of existing product lines, collaborating across disciplines and leveraging hands-on experience to deliver reliable, high-performance products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Associate's degree plus significant (7+ years) relevant job experience.
• 5+ years of experience in electronic or aerospace manufacturing and troubleshooting.
• Circuit card manufacturing and hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with SPICE simulation software.
• Comprehension of complex aerospace schematics and circuit function.
• Electrical component comparison and associated lifecycle (obsolescence) management.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges and mitigate risks.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
• Experience in root cause / corrective action (RCCA).
