We\'re working with a venture-backed hardware startup in San Francisco building high-performance power conversion systems. Their bet is that the power stage is the bottleneck in modern electrified machines. They\'re hiring a hands-on electrical engineer to support product development across those systems. It\'s a broad role, not a narrow specialist seat. You\'ll move between schematics, PCB reviews, harnesses, test setups, lab debugging, documentation, vendors, and production support. They care less about deep specialization than about sound engineering judgment, curiosity, and the ability to get hardware working. The bar is high. The ideal person takes ownership and executes, and when they hit a wall they go find the way through it.

• Power electronics specifically: converter topologies, gate drive, wide-bandgap devices
• High-voltage design and lab safety practice
• Thermal design and simulation for high power density hardware
• EMC pre-compliance and design for EMI
• DFM and NPI experience, taking a design from prototype to a production line
• Embedded or firmware exposure, including motor control and CAN
• Test automation scripting
