We’re partnering with a well‑established manufacturing organization in Southwest Virginia to hire an Electrical Engineer to support new product development for innovative electronic products. They’re looking for someone with hands‑on experience who can own designs and help move products from concept into production.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and support electrical hardware and firmware for microcontroller-based products
- Create system-level electrical designs, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Support product launches by working cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams
- Develop technical specifications, test plans, and validation documentation
- Participate in prototype builds, testing, and early customer evaluations
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within engineering and manufacturing
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design or new product development
- Strong background in analog and digital circuit design
- Experience with PCB design and layout (Altium preferred)
- Exposure to RF/wireless communication is a plus
- Comfortable working in a hands‑on, on‑site engineering environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with low-power electronics, battery-powered systems, or electromechanical components
- Familiarity with embedded systems or microcontrollers (PIC, ARM, etc.)
- Manufacturing or product testing experience (HALT, standards, validation)
