Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Products) to design, develop, and deliver electromechanical products from concept through production in Charlotte, NC. You will lead electrical design, system integration, testing, and documentation, ensuring manufacturability, reliability, and regulatory compliance across industrial environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of product-focused electrical engineering experience.
  • Strong circuit, analog and digital design skills.
  • Experience with electromechanical systems, motor controls, sensors, connectors, and power management.
  • Solid understanding of design for manufacturability and working with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, EPlan, or other similar design applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design for new product development including schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout reviews.
  • Develop and validate electromechanical system designs, ensuring robust integration between electrical and mechanical components.
  • Create and execute test plans, perform debugging and troubleshooting on prototypes, and iterate designs based on test results.
  • Produce and maintain clear engineering documentation: specifications, BOMs, schematics, test procedures, and design change records.
  • Support compliance and certification efforts (EMC, safety, environmental standards) and implement corrective actions to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to qualify components, manage prototypes, and oversee pilot production runs.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing field feedback, resolving product issues, and implementing design improvements to enhance reliability and reduce cost.

Position Overview

The role focuses on electrical design, system integration, testing and validation, and cross-functional collaboration to create reliable, manufacturable products that meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements. The right candidate will have experience in either Industrial, Automation, or Manufacturing environments.
