Job summary

Kane Partners LLC in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a growing team focused on power generation and distributed energy solutions. You will own complex electrical designs for medium- and high-voltage systems and help deliver projects from conception through commissioning.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor's in electrical engineering, and hands-on experience with substations, protection schemes, and NEC/IEEE standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong experience with medium- and/or high-voltage electrical design
  • Background in power distribution and electrical infrastructure
  • Experience with substations, switchgear, transformers, protection, or power system studies
  • Strong knowledge of applicable NEC, IEEE, and electrical safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design for medium- and high-voltage power systems.
  • Develop and review single-line diagrams, calculations, specifications, and electrical design packages.
  • Specify equipment including transformers, switchgear, breakers, and other power distribution equipment.
  • Support power system studies, protection/coordination, grounding, and system integration.
  • Coordinate with utilities, customers, vendors, contractors, and internal engineering teams.
  • Support projects from initial design through construction and commissioning

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a growing organization focused on power generation and distributed energy solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a power engineer who enjoys owning complex electrical designs and working on projects involving medium- and high-voltage systems, power distribution, generation, and utility interconnections.

What You'll Do
  • Lead electrical design for medium- and high-voltage power systems
  • Develop and review single-line diagrams, calculations, specifications, and electrical design packages
  • Specify equipment including transformers, switchgear, breakers, and other power distribution equipment
  • Support power system studies, protection/coordination, grounding, and system integration
  • Coordinate with utilities, customers, vendors, contractors, and internal engineering teams
  • Support projects from initial design through construction and commissioning
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong experience with medium- and/or high-voltage electrical design
  • Background in power distribution and electrical infrastructure
  • Experience with substations, switchgear, transformers, protection, or power system studies

Highly Desirable

Experience within utilities, power generation, distributed generation, renewable energy, microgrids, solar/BESS, or similar power infrastructure is highly preferred.
