Job summary

Synstack Technologies in Illinois seeks an Electrical Engineer to design electrical distribution systems for a FMCG process plant. You will perform power system studies and coordinate with clients to align project scope and with vendors and site construction teams to complete design packages.

Responsibilities include developing engineering information packages, BOMs, single-line drawings, equipment arrangement, and ensuring NFPA70E safety requirements while supporting UL508A compliance.

Qualifications

• Electrical distribution design for process plants and LV distribution panels in accordance with NEC.
• Experience with substations, transformers, 480V panels, MCCs, VFDs, distribution panels, lighting and grounding design.
• Knowledge of cable sizing, conduit sizing, panel design, lighting calculations, grounding and cable tray layouts.
• Develop engineering information packages, BOMs, elementary drawings, single line diagrams and equipment arrangement.
• Trained and qualified in NFPA70E requirements.

Skills Required:

• Should have worked as an Electrical System Studies Engineer on electrical distribution system for process plants.
• Experienced in LV Electrical Distribution Design Power Distribution Panels, Motor Control Centers for process plants in compliance with NEC.
• Sound Knowledge of NEC, UL508A and IEEE standards pertaining to electrical equipment. substations, Transformers, 480V panels, MCC, VFDs, Distribution panels, Lighting and grounding design.
• Knowledge of Cable sizing, conduit sizing, power and control panel design, lighting calculation, grounding design, cable tray sizing, cable tray layout design.
• Develop Engineering information packages, bill of materials, elementary drawings, single line drawings, equipment arrangement.
• Knowledge on Electrical Safety requirements.
• Develop and lead the IQOQ activities.
• Trained and qualified in NFPA70E requirements.
