Job description

Electrical Engineer II | Houston, TX (on-site) | Up to $100K + benefits

Design circuits for medical devices that actually reach patients — on a pipeline that never looks the same twice.

A well-established medical device product development consultancy in south Houston is hiring an Electrical Engineer II. You'll design circuits and electronics for novel Class II and III active medical devices, working alongside and learning from a Senior Electrical Engineer.

25+ years taking devices to market across neurosurgery, oncology, orthopedics and diagnostics — including a system later acquired by a major medical-device company. Current work includes a new generation of wearables aimed at turning a terminal diagnosis into a condition patients can live with for years.

One team, one roof: engineering, testing, clinical, regulatory and manufacturing all work in parallel. You see your work through the full product journey, not one slice of it.

What you'd be doing:
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium)
  • Prototyping and bench testing, working under a Senior Electrical Engineer
  • Design verification, documentation, BOMs and engineering changes
What you'll likely have:
  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering + 2–3 years' experience (not entry-level)
  • Solid analog/digital circuit design fundamentals, including low-power
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout experience (Altium preferred)
  • Bonus: medical device exposure, RF/wireless, signal integrity, C/C++

Up to $100,000, depending on experience, plus full benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO).

Location: On-site, south Houston, Monday–Friday.

Local to Houston, or open to relocating?

We'll consider it. (H-1B transfers considered; new sponsorship isn't available for this one.)
