Job summary

UEC Electronics LLC (UEC) seeks an Electrical Engineer for a full-time, onsite role in Hanahan, SC. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Experience with battery systems, energy storage, and charging optimization is required.
• Knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, modify, install, test, and evaluate electrical, electronic, mechanical, and communication systems.
• Review, analyze, and prepare engineering specifications, standards, and procedures.
• Organize and present technical data in reports and presentations.
• Plan and perform tests and evaluations of systems, equipment, and components.
• Compile, process, and analyze test data results.
• Provide SME on operation, installation, modification, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering techniques, principles, and precedents to develop, design, modify, install, test, and evaluate electrical, electronic, mechanical, and communications systems.
• Review, analyze, and prepare engineering, technical, or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Organize, analyze, and present technical data in reports and presentations.
• Plan and perform tests and evaluations of systems, equipment, and components.
• Compile, process, and analyze test data results.
• Provide subject matter expertise on operation, installation, modification, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment and components.

Requirements

• Expertise in Batteries and Energy Storage, and knowledge of charging systems and performance optimization.
• Experience with electrical CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer), simulation software like (MATLAB/Simulink), and potentially programming languages like C++ or Python.
• Strong foundation in power system design and circuit analysis.
• Proven (R&D) experience with innovative engineering solutions.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Experience with industry standards and best practices for battery systems; familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in an Electrical Engineer, Electronic Engineer role
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering discipline, or other technical discipline
• Direct experience developing, designing, modifying, installing, testing, evaluating and operating electrical, electronic, mechanical or systems, and equipment
• Demonstrated experience reviewing, analyzing, developing, preparing, and applying engineering, technical, or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures
