  • Troubleshooting and support during field installations, testing, and commissioning
  • Create BOMs, purchase materials, and document components for projects

Located north of Troy, Missouri, ICR Resources LLC offers extensive space and utilities for machinery builds and complete line VTO/FAT activities onsite. The team handles projects ranging from simple control panel builds and PLC program changes to full machine builds, providing applicants with exposure to diverse engineering challenges and industries.

Role Description

The Electrical Engineer will work on-site in Greensboro, NC in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for automated equipment and industrial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating electrical schematics, selecting components, supporting panel builds, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and safety requirements. The role involves collaborating with mechanical and controls engineers, programming or supporting PLC modifications, troubleshooting electrical issues, and optimizing power distribution for production lines. The Electrical Engineer will participate in equipment testing, commissioning, and documentation, and may assist with customer support during VTO/FAT activities and onsite start-ups.

  • Utilization of various industrial protocols across different types of media. Including cat5e, fiber, wireless, serial, etc. E/IP, Modbus, Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP, Profibus, DeviceNet as examples of protocols that may be utilized
  • Understand, troubleshoot and Implement P,I&D control systems, instrumentation, 4-20ma / 1-5v etc. installation / troubleshooting
  • Travel to individual customers site for supervision of system installs and customer support. Troubleshooting skills are required.
  • Design, Build, and Install SCADA systems. Design systems that display real-time production status. Setup up of database (SQL, ODBC, etc.) may be required for historian applications.
  • Understand equipment or process problems, and effectively countermeasure the root cause
  • Understand process requirements and specify electrical and mechanical hardware with the environment in mind. Electrically, mechanically, chemically.
  • Candidate must possess troubleshooting skills
  • Create BOM, purchase materials, document/track components for project
