Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership for industrial electrical, automation and process-control systems in a manufacturing setting.

You will design, maintain and optimize plant electrical and control systems, including PLC, DCS, SCADA, instrumentation and high- and medium-voltage power distribution, and lead capital projects from concept through startup, while ensuring NEC/NFPA compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-10+ years of industrial electrical power, controls or automation experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical system design.
  • Strong PLC, automation, instrumentation and industrial power-distribution knowledge.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with production, maintenance, engineering and outside contractors.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD, EasyPower or related engineering software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, program, troubleshoot and optimize Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, Siemens SIMATIC S7/TIA Portal and Mitsubishi PLC systems.
  • Configure, integrate and maintain Yokogawa Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Maintain SCADA interfaces, HMI screens and process-data collection systems, including Aspen Data Historian.
  • Perform loop checks, calibration oversight and logic tuning for industrial process controls, instrumentation and control valves.
  • Coordinate automation software/hardware upgrades and industrial network communications.
  • Oversee electrical power-distribution systems, substations and infrastructure, primarily 5kV.
  • Perform arc-flash hazard analysis, short-circuit/fault-current studies and protective-relaying assessments.
  • Manage MCCs, VFDs, transformers and switchgear.
  • Ensure electrical design and installations comply with NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B and industrial grounding/bonding standards.
  • Lead capital engineering projects from feasibility and cost estimation through design, procurement, construction and startup.
  • Develop and review technical specifications for manufacturing equipment, chemical reactors, rinsing systems and material-handling equipment.
  • Develop and maintain P&IDs, electrical one-line diagrams, schematics and control-philosophy documentation using AutoCAD.
  • Manage vendor bids, change orders, contractors and third-party technical resources.
  • Provide troubleshooting and root-cause failure analysis for complex electrical, instrumentation and control-system issues.

Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership for industrial electrical, automation and process-control systems within a manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements

Regular movement throughout an industrial facility, including climbing stairs. Prolonged periods of computer/desk work and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
