Job summary

EP², a Flex company, seeks an Electrical Engineer to join our Des Moines team. You design power distribution and control systems for critical infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to move designs from concept to production.

In this role you will design AC/DC schematics, relay panels, and control enclosures, while supporting projects across power generation, transmission and distribution systems with PM, Manufacturing, Testing and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Design AC and DC schematics, wiring diagrams, relay panels, and control enclosures.
• Develop engineering solutions that meet customer specifications and project requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Manufacturing, Fabrication, and Testing teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and validate subcontractor designs to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Ensure engineering drawings meet EP² quality expectations.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in product inspections and testing activities to verify design performance and customer requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting key milestones and deadlines.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience designing electrical systems, control panels, relay panels, or power distribution equipment or enclosures.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and power system applications.
• Experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
