Job summary

Actalent in Troy, NY is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide technical design and construction documents for commercial building power, lighting and special systems. You will work under a senior engineer in a hybrid work environment.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will work under the guidance of a senior engineer to provide technical design and construction documents for commercial building power, lighting and special systems.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will work under the guidance of a senior engineer to provide technical design and construction documents for commercial building power, lighting and special systems.

Typical Work May Include

• Close coordination and collaboration with different design members within the company as well as architects, owners, and facilities staff outside the company.
• Assist in the initial concept planning and review of system options.
• Perform power and lighting load calculations using applicable computer software.
• Perform selective coordination, short circuit, and arc flash calculations using SKM software.
• Work closely with equipment vendors and manufacturers' representatives for selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
• Create highly coordinated construction documents using 3D Revit MEP.
• Construction administration responsibilities including submittal reviews, construction inspections and field troubleshooting.
• Participate in weekly internal department meetings to help establish company standards, training design guides, and learn from your peers in a proven educational format.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
