Blueprint Consulting Engineers is seeking an electrical engineer with 5+ years of experience to join their MEP team. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the implementation of electrical systems for various projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings
• Lead electrical design efforts and analysis of complex electrical systems for MEP projects, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements
• Support our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on large scale HVAC and electrical design
• Work closely with project managers to ensure timely and successful project delivery
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure design integration and smooth project execution
• Review and approve design drawings, calculations, and reports
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to implement cutting-edge solutions in designs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5 –15 years of electrical engineering experience, specifically in design and consulting
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required
• Strong proficiency in electrical design software and tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard programs
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards
• Experience in power distribution, lighting, and other electrical systems design
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a team; collaborating with junior and senior staff
