Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering.
• Must have completed at least your freshman year.
• Graduation date Fall 2027 – Summer 2028.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Not eligible for sponsorship, OPT, or CPT.
• Preferred: Minimum 3.0 GPA, strong communication, interest in electric utilities, and good time management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams and experienced engineers on planning, designing and executing enterprise projects.
• Engage in design reviews, training sessions, and constructability assessments to maintain safety and standards.
• Participate in field visits to operational facilities to understand power system operations.
• Assist in developing databases, reports, cost estimates and dashboards for data-driven decisions.
• Support documentation for decision-making and safety initiatives.
• Adhere to AEP safety guidelines in office and field environments.
