Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Energy Marshal to oversee hazardous energy control programs across construction, startup, and commissioning for data-center projects. You will lead LOTO activities, verify isolation boundaries, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure safe energization and turnover.

The role requires strong NFPA 70E knowledge, hands-on energy-control experience, and proven collaboration with electrical supervision and commissioning teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical safety or energy control roles such as Energy Marshal or Safety Lead.
• Proven background on data center, mission-critical, or industrial projects with complex power systems.
• Strong understanding of LOTO and hazardous energy control principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and administer LOTO and hazardous energy control programs across construction and commissioning teams.
• Coordinate isolation, de-energization, re-energization, and energization activities.
• Review energy isolation plans, permits, and switching procedures for safety and compliance.
• Review electrical diagrams, JHAs/AHAs, and risk assessments related to hazardous energy work.
• Verify isolation boundaries, lock/tag placement, and energized-state readiness prior to work.
• Maintain control of energized or potentially energized systems through project turnover.
• Coordinate with electrical superintendents, safety reps, and commissioning teams to align plans.
• Support operation of medium-/low-voltage systems, switchgear, transformers, and temporary power.
• Participate in pre-energization and commissioning-readiness meetings and risk reviews.
• Provide clear guidance on safe work practices and energy-control requirements.
• Audit energy isolation practices and drive corrective actions.
