Job summary

Staffworks Group seeks an Energy Marshal to lead electrical safety on mission-critical projects such as data centers, substations, and power plants. The role focuses on energized work management, commissioning activities, and safeguarding workers and equipment during power-up and testing phases.

The position requires 5+ years of construction safety experience with strong NFPA 70E and OSHA knowledge, plus proven incident investigation skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience on industrial/power facilities.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA, LOTO, and electrical safety practices.
• Experience with data centers, substations, power plants, or large industrial electrical systems preferred.
• Ability to lead safety programs during construction and commissioning.
• Proven incident investigation and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce electrical safety programs during construction and commissioning.
• Oversee energized work permitting and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Monitor energization sequences, turnover activities, and startup operations.
• Conduct site safety inspections and audits.
• Identify, document, and mitigate hazardous conditions.
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Support subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements.
• Participate in pre-task planning, commissioning meetings, and daily coordination activities.
• Track safety metrics, trends, and corrective actions.
