We are currently seeking an experienced drafter to join our team at the Detroit Edison Fermi Nuclear Plant in Newport, MI. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting United's power group, working alongside engineers, designers, and other drafters.

Drafter Job Responsibilities

The candidate will collaborate with our design team to complete intermediate complexity drafting and design assignments using 2D design tools. Responsibilities include:

• Updating existing plant drawings with Bentley MicroStation software.
• Redlining and updating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment, and general arrangement drawings.

The role involves interacting with multiple disciplines and project support groups, preparing drawings according to project specifications and established standards, and following written and verbal instructions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, CAD, or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of drafting experience with electrical wiring and schematic diagrams.
• Intermediate proficiency with Bentley MicroStation and AutoDesk AutoCAD software.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear plant.

Additional Qualifications

• Ability to update mechanical and structural drawings.
• Experience with electrical systems in the power industry.
• Software administration knowledge of AutoDesk Plant3D and configuration management.
