Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Distribution Lead Engineer in Ann Arbor, MI to drive projects from design through execution, up to 34.5 kV. You will mentor junior engineers, manage scope, budget, schedule, and quality, and coordinate multi-discipline teams while partnering with clients to deliver innovative distribution solutions.

The role requires a strong background in overhead and underground distribution design, with experience leading production teams and developing engineering estimates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in electrical distribution engineering.
• Experience managing engineering design services for overhead and underground distribution line projects for utilities, particularly in the 4 kV to 34.5 kV range.
• Proven ability to develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multi-discipline teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading larger production teams and serving as responsible charge for projects.
• Strong technical background in the design of overhead and underground distribution projects up to 34.5 kV.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of electrical distribution projects up to 34.5 kV from design through completion.
• Prepare engineering deliverables including calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
• Lead larger production teams and coordinate multi-discipline activities.
• Provide technical leadership for overhead and underground distribution line projects and drive solutions.
