Seneca Resources Company, LLC is seeking a Distribution Engineering Supervisor in Honolulu to lead a team of 5-8 engineers in developing design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems from 4kV to 138kV.

The role requires 3+ years of utility design experience, familiarity with GIS/CAD/field support, and the ability to travel 15-25%. This position emphasizes safety, scope control, and collaboration with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant design engineering experience for electric utilities, or an Associate's with 5 years and supervisory experience.
• Experience with NESC standards, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and Bluebeam and/or Adobe.
• Experience with distribution design tools (BOUD, Pole Foreman, Spida-Calc, O-Calc).
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead team of 5-8 engineers to develop design and construction work packages for OH/UG distribution systems from 4kV through 138kV.
• Oversee onboarding, performance, and day-to-day assignments of direct reports.
• Act as technical lead for engineering/design to develop construction work packages and perform calculations.
• Train junior engineers and designers; work under Engineering Manager to maintain scope, schedule and budget.
• Review client-provided work; communicate progress, issues, and schedule to the client.
• Develop permitting documents and coordinate with permit agencies and right-of-way specialists.
• Travel to sites and meetings; perform structural, conductor sag/tension, and voltage drop calculations.
• Provide engineering support during construction and conduct root-cause analyses of outages.
