Job summary

The City of Richland is seeking a well-qualified Electrical Distribution Engineer II to join our team, responsible for designing and managing major distribution projects for the electric utility. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and at least six years of relevant experience, plus a Washington State Professional Electrical Engineer license upon hire.

Proficiency in load flow, system modeling, protection, and AutoCAD is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Six (6) or more years' experience in electrical utilities engineering, broadband design, planning and project administration.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage major, complex engineering projects involved in the development of distribution systems for the electric utility.
  • Set policies and goals under the direction of the Chief Electrical Engineer (supervisor).
  • Perform other related work as apparent or assigned.
