The position supports design, planning, operation, and maintenance of the distribution network, with involvement in load flow analyses, fault studies, and protection scheme development.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in ETAP, DigSilent PowerFactory, and CYME.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in electrical distribution engineering.
• Proficiency with analysis/design software (ETAP, PowerFactory, CYME).
• Familiarity with SA-related standards (NRS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical distribution systems including substations, overhead lines, and underground cables.
• Perform load flow analysis, fault calculations, and stability studies for the distribution network.
• Develop protection and control schemes for distribution assets.
• Oversee planning and execution of network maintenance and upgrade projects.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Investigate and resolve distribution network issues and customer complaints.
