• Qualified Electrical Technician with a trade certificate or diploma.
• Experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems.

• Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to electrical codes.

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic engineering solutions provider, is seeking a Specialized Electrical Systems Technician to join their team, serving clients primarily in the East London, Eastern Cape region. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems, including industrial control panels, power distribution units, and integrated safety systems. You will work on a variety of projects, ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure for diverse commercial and industrial clients. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for field-based work with clients, complemented by remote opportunities for planning, documentation, and consultation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong electrical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve intricate technical challenges. You will be instrumental in ensuring client satisfaction through high-quality workmanship and responsive service. Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair specialized electrical systems, including control panels, power distribution equipment, and integrated safety circuits.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and diagnose issues in complex systems, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all installations and repairs comply with national electrical codes and safety standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan and execute electrical system installations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent.
• Stay updated on the latest electrical technologies and safety practices.
• Participate in on-site client meetings and potentially remote technical consultations.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrical Technician with a relevant trade certificate or diploma.
• Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial or commercial electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, control systems, and power distribution.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to electrical codes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel to client sites within the East London area and surrounding regions.
