Job summary

TechServ is seeking experienced Engineering Technicians/ Designers to support our Electrical Distribution team. You will design electrical distribution systems for new construction, upgrades, and redevelopment, using Maximo, DDS, and SPIDAcalc.

You will collaborate with project coordinators, engineers, and other designers throughout field evaluation, design, documentation, and closeout. Travel to regional job sites may be required approximately 20% of the time.

Qualifications

• Previous experience designing electrical distribution systems required.
• Hands-on experience with Maximo, DDS, and SPIDAcalc strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation is advantageous.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to collaborate with project teams and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical distribution designs for new construction, upgrades, relocations, and redevelopments.
• Utilize Maximo, DDS, and SPIDAcalc to support design, pole loading analysis, and project workflow.
• Prepare designs, review field data, and ensure designs are constructible and compliant.
• Perform pole loading calculations and maintain design drawings and redlines.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, field personnel, and other designers.
• Ensure projects stay within scope, budget, and schedule; document project information in Maximo.
