Job summary

TechServ is seeking an Experienced Engineering Technician / Designer for Electrical Distribution to design and document distribution projects. You will use Maximo, DDS, and SPIDAcalc to create accurate construction drawings, perform pole loading analyses, and support project workflows.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on distribution design experience, proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation, and the ability to work both independently and with teams. Occasional regional travel ~20% is required.

Qualifications

• Previous professional electrical distribution design experience required.
• Hands-on experience with Maximo, DDS, and SPIDAcalc preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical distribution designs to client standards.
• Use Maximo, DDS, and SPIDAcalc to support design, documentation, and pole loading analyses.
• Prepare designs for new construction, upgrades, relocations, rebuilds, and other projects.
• Review field data and existing infrastructure to produce accurate, constructible designs.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and field personnel to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Travel to regional job sites approximately 20% of the time.
