KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Engineer Designer I to design electrical distribution systems, perform field data collection, and assist with storm restoration efforts. The role involves building simple design projects, BOMs, and working under supervision for mentorship and training.

The position combines office design work with significant field exposure, requiring safety awareness and collaboration with clients and construction crews.

Formación

• Four-year ABET-accredited Engineering degree.
• FE/EIT preferred.
• Valid Drivers License required.
• Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Producing electric distribution design drawings and BOM for construction of simple projects.
• Performing field data collection using standard tools and processes and inspections.
• Cable pulling and voltage drop calculations, transformer loading, and pole loading analysis calculations.
• Familiarity with client construction standards, workflows, and charging guidelines.
• Generating permitting and other project supporting documentation as needed.
• Understand hazards of the distribution system and mitigate hazards during office and field work.
• Safety meetings attendance and adherence to hazard identification training.
• Potential to work on storm response teams as Driver and Assessor Learner.
