Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior relevant experience required.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial) from ABET-accredited institution.
• Background in and proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
• Knowledge of structural analysis, guying calcs, cable pulling calcs, coordination of protective devices, and electric demand and fault currents calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform design engineering for Leidos electric utility customers and QC tasks.
• Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, Make Ready, and Street Light projects using GIS and Work Management systems.
• Coordinate with engineers and design leads on client issues, manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Review design packages with clients and perform planning and follow-up tasks.
• Initiate process improvements to drive efficiency and quality of client deliverables.
• Coordinate utilities and field requirements for large design packages in urban environments.
